A Bit About Me

Ava Winfrey, a Chicago Native, began her dance journey at the age of 3. Ava has studied Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Tap, Musical Theater, over the years. She got her start at The Old Town School of Folk Music, taking Ballet at age 3. From there, she went on to take Ballet classes at Joffrey and Hubbard Street. Ava has had the opportunity to perform as an opening act for Shakespeare in the Park in Chicago, as well as the Grass Roots Festival. Ava served as the Captain for the Lincoln Park High School Dance/Poms team. Her years of dance afforded her the opportunity to become a leader. She led her high school team to perform at the Wintrust Arena, and the Poms team has placed 2nd in the City-wide Dance/Cheer competition, twice, resulting in a 1st place win, in 2022. Presently, Ava is a Junior at Columbia College Chicago working towards earning a Bachelor's of Fine Arts in Dance.
